<p>The Full Scope Scheme is for those who wish to carry out domestic electrical installations or maintenance and wish able to carry out full electrical installations including installing new consumer units or ring mains. The Full Scope qualification includes all the areas originally mapped in the EAS document that detailed 17 competency areas for electrical work being carried out within domestic properties. This course has been fully updated in line with BS7671:2008 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.<br />
In addition to the areas covered in the defined scope Part P programme candidates will also cover the following areas:-</p>
<p>1.    Special Locations<br />
2.    High Protective Conductors<br />
3.    Domestic Lighting Circuits SELV<br />
4.    Maintaining Domestic Electrical Installations<br />
5.    3 Phase Supplies<br />
6.    Domestic Consumer Units</p>
<p>This course can either be delivered on top of the Defined Scope Part P programme or be delivered as one complete package with the Defined Scope Part P programme. The additional Full Scope part P programme can only be added to a Logic Certification Defined Scope certificate of competence.</p>
<p>Important Note &#8211; For all operatives who are either looking to join a Part P Competent Person Scheme (CPS) or who are already a member of a Part P CPS, you will be required to hold a 17th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (eg City &#038; Guilds 2381 or EAL). This qualification is a theory only qualification and does not cover any of the practical requirements you will be expected to demonstrate during your inspection. The Part P course (defined or full scope) detailed above is a method for you to obtain the practical skills and knowledge on domestic installations and especially application of the inspection, testing and certification requirements of BS7671.</p>
<p><strong>City &#038; Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671 2008) 2382-10 </strong></p>
<p>There are no formal entry requirements to undertaking this qualification. It is expected that you will have basic electrical knowledge. The objectives of the course are:<br />
To ensure that you are conversant with the format, content and the application of BS 7671:2008 Electrical Regulations<br />
This qualification, candidates will be required to complete one multiple choice online (GOLA) test approximately 4 weeks after the training course. The online test contains 60 multiple choice questions to be completed in 2 hrs. </p>
<p><strong>City &#038; Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (16th to 17th edition update BS 7671 2008) 2382-20 </strong></p>
<p>The 17th Edition update qualification aims to update candidates on the main changes and alterations from the 16th edition Electrical Regulations. This qualification is primarily aimed at practising electricians with a working knowledge of the 16th edition of the BS 7671 and for this qualification, candidates will be required to complete one multiple choice online (GOLA) test at CCTS premises, approximately 4 weeks after the training course. The online test contains 30 multiple choice questions to be completed in 1 hr. </p>
<p><strong>City &#038; Guilds Level 3 Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (2377-200)Potable appliance Testing </strong></p>
<p>This qualification is aimed at those undertaking inspection and testing of electrical Portable appliances .By the end of this Course participants should understand the legal requirements and Tests required for maintenance of electrical equipment. For this qualification, candidates will be required to complete one multiple choice online test. The online test contains 30 multiple choice questions to be completed in 1hr.</p>
<p><strong>City &#038; Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the Certification of Electrical Installations(inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations) (2391-10) </strong></p>
<p>This three day course covers the theory and practise of the inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations and provides preparation for the City &#038; Guilds 2391-10 written and practical assessments. This qualification is intended for experienced Electricians only with testing and inspection knowledge</p>
<p>It is not suitable for beginners.<br />
By the end of the course candidates should be fully aware of:<br />
The BS 7671 requirements for initial verification and periodic inspection and testing;<br />
The information required to correctly conduct the inspection and testing of an installation;<br />
The statutory and non-statutory requirements and relevant guidance material, which apply to the activity of inspecting and testing of electrical installations;<br />
Candidates should also be prepared for the practical and written assessments for City &#038; Guilds 2391-10.<br />
The written paper is in two sections, consisting of short answer and structured questions<br />
A practical assessment time and date will be set by the assessors for those candidates who successfully pass the written examination. The practical assessment can last for up to 3 hours<br />

<p>Ray McClay, Sir Reg Empey &#038; Gerry McManus cut the ribbon. “We are delighted to have completed the 2nd Phase of the continued expansion at CCTS and are pleased that Sir Reg Empey and guests, could avail of their busy schedules to formally open the Commercial and Renewable training sections. We believe that the appliance additions, including an extra 45 operational domestic &#038; commercial appliances go a long way to giving our candidates, North &#038; South, the opportunity to work on a wide range of product, in a state of the art training Centre”.<br />
Appliances include air to air heat pumps &#038; ground source, including operational Solar Panels, with a mock roof where candidates get the oportunity to experience real time installation under the experienced supervision of trainer Tom Bowen. </p>
