This regulated qualification is for learners that wish to demonstrate their knowledge in the Initial Verification and Testing of electrical installation systems in the UK. The qualification is based primarily on BS7671:2008 (Amendment 3: 2015) 17th Edition Wiring Regulations and IET Guidance Note 3 (2015). It is part of a suite of electrical qualifications including 17th Edition, Initial Verification, Periodic Inspection (Condiiton Reporting) and a combined Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection (Condition Reporting) qualification. |

There are no formal pre-requisites to this qualification but it is recommended that candidates should have suitable knowledge of electrical theory and ideally be working within the electrical or a related industry.
