Qualification Information

This regulated qualification is for learners that wish to demonstrate their skills and knowledge as a Domestic Qualified Supervisor for Competent Person Schemes in the UK. It is based primarily on BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations along with other relevant regulations.

The qualification provides underpinning knowledge to comply with current legislation and the requirements of the Electrotechnical Assessment Specification 2024 document for route to membership of Competent Person Schemes1.

1This qualification is only suitable for registration with Competent Person Schemes if it has been completed and certificated by 31st December 2025.

An Initial Assessment conducted by the Approved Centre on application for the qualification will determine the learner's capability to complete the qualification.

Examination and or Assessment method(s)

The assessment methods within the qualification include on-screen multiple choice knowledge examinations and AC marked performance assessments.
