Periodic Inspection & Testing (2391-51)

  • Course overview

CCTS runs the industry recognised City & Guilds 2391-51 (formerly known as City & Guilds 2395) QCF Level 3 Award in Periodic Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations or the recognised Logic Certification equivalent . This Testing and Inspection training course is for experienced electricians who are responsible for periodic inspection and certification of electrical installations. This qualification, along with the  QCF L3 Award in Initial Verification & Certification of Electrical Installations qualification, replaces the City & Guilds 2395 Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations qualification.

The new QCF qualifications mean that electricians can specialise in either initial verification & certification or periodic inspection of electrical installations. Alternatively electricians can attend both courses when the appropriate level of on site experience in each sector has been achieved.

The cost of the course includes training, assessment and the certification fee.

The City & Guilds course involves a practical assessment and an on-line exam. The Logic Certification assessment involves a practical assessment &  is open book and is a paper exam that will be completed as part of the course.

LCL Awards is an OFQUAL approved Awarding Organisation.  The qualification is recognised by the Joint Industry Board (JIB) and Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) and is a direct equivalent of the City & Guilds 2395.

Recognised by Competent Person Schemes such as NAPIT, NICEIC, STROMA
