Entry requirements

There are no pre-requisites for this course, however candidates will be required to physically insert different types of Abrasive Wheels in various plant under the supervision of a qualified assessor.
Do I need this course?

Employers must ensure that employees are suitably competent in the safe use of abrasive wheels. Candidates will receive a CCTS attendance certificate on successful completion of the course.
Course content/Syllabus

To enable candidates to mount Abrasive Wheels & Discs to Angle Grinders and Bench Grinders.

- Manual Handling
- Provisions & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1999 N.I.
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Abrasive Wheel Mounting & Identification
- Selection and storage of discs
- Candidate practical mounting of discs to angle grinders
