  Anyone new to the oil industry should consider attending our APL Oil course

• Entry Requirements

  Any experienced oil operatives, or GAS SAFE registered heating system operatives wishing to undertake commercial pressure-jet oil commissioning or servicing. 

  This course is for upgrade from OFT 101. Candidates should bring in their previous oftec 101 Certificates for INSPECTION

  Persons who do not meet the standard of persons as described in Document R576 Version 6.1 Category 3 must complete an APL (OFT50 syllabus) and OFT101 domestic or ask a CCTS team member about additional bespoke Commercial training

  (PLEASE NOTE: Proof of previous qualifications will be required at the start of the course)

  • Inspection, Maintenance, Servicing and Commissioning
  • Appliance Safety Controls (inc. checking)
  • General Approach to Fault Finding
  • Principles of Combustion
  • Excess Combustion Air
  • Incomplete Combustion & Combustion Analysis
  • Combustion Fault Checks
  • Air Supply, Flues and Chimneys
  • Electrical Safety
