Candidates will be taught to correctly erect a typical mobile Tower alumiuum scaffold in accordance with Health and Safety in Construction (HSG150). Erection and dismantling will follow the manufacturer’s current instruction manual, normally using an advance-guardrail or 3T method.Current standards: BS EN 1004-1:2020 for standard mobile access towers and BS EN 1004-2:2021 for instruction manuals
Knowledge and understanding of the Work at Height Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005 and relevant health and safety guidance; selection, inspection and safe use of mobile aluminium access towers; assembly, alteration and dismantling in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions using an approved method; stability, positioning and safe movement of towers; pre-use and statutory inspections and inspection records; risk assessments and method statements; and the selection and safe use of ladders, stepladders and lightweight staging.
