We offer the 2365-02 as a package & two course variants for 18th Edition home study learning which are both excellent in terms of content and delivery systems. The 18th Edition course is the equivalent of our 3 day 18th Edition course delivered in centre. The difference is you will study at home until you feel ready to take on the exam at the Centre; The 2391 is the equivalent of our 5 day 2391-52 course but with an additional Practical assessment as well as the on-line Theory exam. There are no formal entry requirements for this course. As a general rule candidates should have knowledge of electrical installation and electrical science. If you have no previous installation experience you may want to register for our Level 3 Domestic Installer course before taking this 18th Edition course.
The course is primarily aimed at practicing electricians and domestic installers, however it is also very popular with allied professionals such as contracts managers, designers, electrical engineers, consultants, surveyors, and other related trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of the IEE Wiring Regulations. All candidates must be over 16 years old.
2391 - 52 - Operatives should hold the City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition and must have a practical working knowledge of both domestic and commercial electrical installations including 3 phase installations. Operatives should have on site experience of periodic inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations, using suitable test equipment and the completion of the relevant forms as per BS7671 including Minor Works Electrical Installation Certificates and Full Electrical Installation Certificates
Full course
Our full course has been designed for electricians, contractors and those requiring a working knowledge of the latest edition of the Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2018 qualification. This course is delivered online and provides in-depth training on the 18th edition of the IET Wiring Regulations and will include a summative 2 hour examination on the full content of the Regulations to be carried out later at our Centre . Update course
Our update course has been primarily designed for those people working within the electrotechnical industry who have recently completed their 17th edition Amendment 3: 2015 qualification (eg. City & Guilds 2382-15 or an equivalent). This course is available online and provides an overview of the changes to the 18th edition of the IET Wiring Regulations. However, please note that you will still be required to undertake the full 2 hour summative assessment on the full content of the Regulations to be carried out later at our Centre. 18th Edition - Successful candidates will hold the full qualification, be able to demonstrate a much better understanding of the 18th Edition of BS7671, and should be able to apply the understanding within their role.
